David Miles retains seat on UK Monetary Policy Committee
The Chancellor, George Osborne, on January 24 announced that David Miles has been reappointed as an external member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at the Bank of England. Miles' second term on the MPC will begin on June 1, 2012 and end on May 31, 2015.
"David has been a very effective member of the MPC throughout his first term," said Osborne. "His knowledge of the UK economy and background in the financial sector has proved invaluable through a challenging period."
Miles joined the MPC
