Investigation into governing board could delay Swiss governor selection

Thomas Jordan, the acting chair of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), may have to wait until an investigation into the bank transactions of the extended governing board is complete before a final decision is reached concerning Philipp Hildebrand's permanent replacement.

The Swiss authorities have embarked on the process to find a permanent replacement for Hildebrand, who stepped down as governor of the SNB on Monday. His departure came after it was revealed his wife had profited from a US dollar
