Securities and Exchange Commission appoints new chief financial officer

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Kenneth Johnson as its new chief financial officer.

Based in Washington, DC, Johnson reports to Diego Ruiz, the SEC's executive director. Johnson has been acting chief financial officer since Kristine Chadwick stepped down earlier this year. Before becoming acting chief financial officer, he was chief management analyst for the SEC. His replacement has not yet been announced.
