Czech fin min to submit euro adoption plan soon

Czech finance minister Miroslav Kalousek will submit a national euro adoption plan to the cabinet in March, he told the daily Lidove noviny LN on Saturday 3 February.

"I think the national plan could set January 1, 2012 as a deadline for adopting (the single currency)," LN quotes Kalousek as saying.

The previous government decided last autumn not to stick to the expected date of euro adoption in 2010, which proved unrealistic given a high public finance deficit.
