BIS's Knight to leave on 1 July

Malcolm Knight, the outgoing general manager of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), is to step down three months ahead of schedule.

Knight announced his departure earlier this month. He was due to leave on 30 September to join Deutsche Bank on 6 October and take up a visiting professorship at the London School of Economics.

The absence of a period between his departure from the BIS and his arrival at Deutsche Bank attracted criticism, and Knight said on Monday that both he and the BIS
