Indonesia's Boediono to enter politics?

Boediono, the governor of Bank Indonesia, may be named as the running mate for the country's president, it was reported on Tuesday.

Leading media quoted a lawmaker from the Prosperous Justice Party, which is part of the coalition government of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's Democrat Party, as saying that Boediono would be selected as the vice presidential candidate for the forthcoming elections, the first round of which will be held next month. The final vote will take place on 8 July.
