ACCI sees no reason to change RBA appointments

The Reserve Bank of Australia is the most successful central bank in the world and the appointment process to its board should not be changed, Australia's business organisation ACCI said this week.

Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive Peter Hendy said there was no need to modify the appointment process as it was not broken.

His comments came in the fall out surrounding Adelaide businessman Robert Gerard who resigned from the RBA's board last week after details of his tax
