ECB view on Bank of Italy reform in next fortnight

The European Central Bank will give its view on the proposed reform of the Bank of Italy in the next fortnight, ECB vice-president Lucas Papademos said Friday 30 September.

Lucas Papademos, speaking at a press conference at the ECB's headquarters in the German financial capital, said the bank was looking into Fazio's conduct.

"We have to continue, and we are continuing, the process of monitoring and assessing, as we have in the past," he told reporters.

Papademos told a news conference that the ECB
