Bell calls Bank of England forecasts 'ambitious'

Former Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee member Marian Bell said in an interview that the central bank's forecasts for economic growth are ``ambitious'' and that if she was still on the MPC she would consider cutting rates.

``Although there are lots of reasons to think growth will pick up, my view would be that there are downside risks attached to those forecasts,'' Bell said in an interview with Bloomberg. ``If I was still on the committee, I would be examining the case for a rate cut.''
