Zuma names Mminele as new SARB deputy

Daniel Mminele will become a deputy governor at the South African Reserve Bank at the beginning of next month.

Mminele has been at the central bank for almost a decade and has headed the markets department since August 2005. He is already a member of the Reserve Bank's Monetary Policy Committee.

Between 2003 and 2005, he headed the financial markets department and in the two years before that, the international banking department.
