Fed appoints community banker to governor role
She fills the seat vacated by Susan Schmidt Bies in March 2007, the 14-year term of which expires in 2012. Her first action will be to vote on Tuesday's Federal Open Market Committee decision, where the Fed is expected to hold rates.
