But Tang Xu, director of the Research Bureau within the People's Bank of China, told Market News International that a band widening will eventually be appropriate.
"I'm not saying that it's not necessary to widen the band - what I'm saying is that there's no immediate need to widen the band as (the current range) is still enough,"
