ECB's Liikanen sees inflation risks

European Central Bank Governing Council member, Erkki Liikanen, said there were still upside risks to inflation in the eurozone, Finnish national broadcaster YLE reported on Tuesday 2 January.

"As economic growth is strengthening, companies' pricing power might strengthen and then the risk that higher oil prices will go through to the prices is bigger," Liikanen said.

Liikanen said in the interview that results of upcoming German pay talks could add to pressure on prices in the eurozone if pay
