Two new vice presidents for Chicago Fed

Carl Tannenbaum, the former chief economist at LaSalle Bank, has joined the Chicago Federal Reserve as vice president. The central bank has also promoted Steve Durfey, the assistant vice president responsible for the supervision and regulation department's capital markets group, to the same rank.

Tannenbaum will lead the risk specialist division of the supervision and regulation department. He had previously spent 25 years at La Salle, working as chief economist and director of the balance sheet
