Philadelphia Fed's Stone to attend FOMC meeting

The Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank's second in command will participate in the US central bank's policy meeting next week, stepping in for retiring President Anthony Santomero, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday 22 March.

William Stone, first vice president of the Philadelphia Fed, will attend the two-day meeting of the policy-setting Federal Open Market Committee that ends on Tuesday, the spokeswoman said.

The meeting will be the first meeting chaired by Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, who was sworn
