Serbia's National Bank vice-governor arrested

Serbian police have arrested the vice-governor of Serbia's National Bank, Dejan Simic, on suspicion of taking bribes, Mina news agency reported.

Interior Minister Dragan Jocic has said that Simic was arrested within the framework of the decisive fight against organized crime and corruption.

"The police will fulfill its obligations in this large project. Everyone must be equal before the law and everyone who is in breach of the law must be brought to justice and no-one will be spared," Jocic said.
