Bini Smaghi pushing IMF reform

After the recent report on reforming the IMF and criticism of it from Mervyn King, among others, European Central Bank executive board member Lorenzo Bini Smaghi said in an article in the FT that emerging economies should accept that the IMF needs a greater role.

Bini Smaghi wrote in an article for the Financial Times that was posted on the newspaper's website on Thursday that advanced economies should allow emerging countries a greater say in the governance of the IMF.
