Libya to issue new banknotes
Central bank announces plan for five, 10 and 20 dinar bills amid continued cash shortage
The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) is to issue new five, 10 and 20 dinar banknotes.
In a statement on January 20, the central bank said the 10 dinar notes would be issued from next week. It did not provide further details about when the five and 20 dinar notes would be put into circulation, but said an announcement would be made shortly about the notes’ design and security features.
