The National Bank of Serbia held its policy rate at 5.75% on January 10.

The board recalled that it had cut rates by 75 basis points since June 2024 but that this had not had a full impact on the economy as of yet.

“Although inflation has returned within the target tolerance band and continues to move therein, a cautious monetary policy stance is necessary given the uncertainty in the international environment,” the bank said in its statement.
