The French authorities have made “significant progress” in overseeing the crypto assets market, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) has noted.

In its peer review of France published on December 11, the FSB said the Banque de France (BdF) had established a “regular monitoring mechanism” for developments and risk trends in the market.

The FSB’s peer reviews are part of a programme that periodically monitors member jurisdictions’ progress in implementing regulatory and supervisory reforms.
