Study says the term, and much other crypto terminology, is misleading and should be binned

The term central bank digital currency is misleading and should be abandoned, research from the European Central Bank argues.

The working paper, published on February 11, claims that terminology in the crypto community, though widely used, “often seems to be biased, confusing, or is used inconsistently”.
