Central banks have a “long way to go” in improving several aspects of gender equality, despite some progress towards self-imposed targets, research published by the International Monetary Fund finds.
Central banks play a core role in the economics profession and are a “paragon of public institutions”, the authors say, so they “should represent the population of the nation(s) they serve”.
