Central bankers cast doubt on utility of CBDC

Central bank digital currencies could struggle to find an audience, two senior experts in the field say.

In interviews at the conclusion of the Central Banking Spring Meetings, the experts indicate that a lack of appropriate infrastructure and market knowledge could hobble retail CBDC projects.
