Central African ministers intervene in central bank recruitment
BEAC’s political supervisors demand external audit after charges of nepotism
A ministerial committee of the Central African monetary union froze a controversial recruitment process at the regional central bank on October 6. The decision followed charges of irregularities and nepotism, which prompted the chair of the council to write to the central bank governor in August.
