World Bank appoints Caribbean and central Asian directors
New York Fed names chief of innovation hub and St Louis appoints head of economic equity institute
Washington: The World Bank announced new appointments to key posts in the Caribbean, Latin America and central Asia.
On July 1, it named Lilia Burunciuc country director for states in the Caribbean. She had previously served as regional director for central Asia.
Burunciuc will assume control of a $2.7 billion portfolio covering 75 investments in 13 countries. She is a Moldovan citizen and first started working at the World Bank in 1996.
