Bank of England prepares for first public CCP stress test
Discussion paper sets out eight components of supervisory stress test for key market infrastructure
The Bank of England is seeking feedback on its plans for its first public stress tests of central counterparties (CCPs).
The central bank sets out its proposed approach across eight key components in a discussion paper published on June 21.
Three of these – risk coverage, timings and methodology – have been broadly decided already. The BoE plans to explore credit and liquidity risks, on an annual basis, using a mix of CCPs’ proprietary models and modelling developed by the central bank.
