US: Janet Yellen, US secretary of the Treasury, will name Michael Hsu acting comptroller of the currency, US media reported on May 3.

Hsu is currently an associate director in the Federal Reserve Board’s division of supervision and regulation. He oversees the Large Institution Supervision Coordinating Committee.

The comptroller of the currency is an official of the Treasury Department who oversees banks with a federal charter. US president Joe Biden has not yet nominated a permanent
