People: Bundesbank appoints Mauderer as vice-president

Former prosecutor joins Dutch central bank’s supervisory board

Germany: Sabine Mauderer has been appointed vice-president of the Deutsche Bundesbank. Mauderer has been a member of the bank’s board for the past six years and was previously first vice-president of KfW Banking Group.

Netherlands: Hendrik Jan Biemond on September 1 began a four-year term as a member of The Netherlands Bank’s supervisory board. He succeeds Marry de Gaay Fortman, who stepped down when her second term ended in July. Biemond has worked as a lawyer with Allen & Overy in areas such as
