People: Ingves elected ESRB vice-chair
Appointments at ESRB and ECB; official resigns from the Central Bank of Colombia
Frankfurt, ESRB: Sveriges Riksbank governor Stefan Ingves has been elected first vice-chair of the European Systemic Risk Board. He will work alongside Christine Lagarde, who chairs the board.
“The ESRB has developed into an essential part of the EU financial supervisory framework and I have had the privilege of being involved in the whole journey since the board was established as part of the EU’s response to the global financial crisis,” said Ingves in a statement.
