ECB and EU auditors sign deal on supervisory data access
Auditors will view sensitive documents in controlled environment, ECB says
The European Central Bank and the European Court of Auditors, or ECA, have agreed a method of sharing confidential bank data, the ECB announced on August 28.
The move appears to mark the end of a disagreement between the two European Union institutions over access to the data used by the ECB in its supervisions of eurozone banks. The ECA, which has the task of auditing EU institutions, wrote an official letter to the European parliament in January complaining that the central bank was limiting
