Trump criticises Powell over strong dollar
President complains about Fed’s rate hikes and quantitative tightening in driving up the dollar
Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell came under renewed pressure from Donald Trump on March 2, as the US president accused the Fed of promoting a strong dollar at the expense of the US economy.
