Valda Henry says US election result has increased uncertainty among small island nations
The US presidential election has led to increased uncertainty among small island nations, the deputy governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) has said.
Speaking on November 13 at the Central Banking Autumn Meetings in Mexico City, Valda Henry said Donald Trump’s victory had “added to the uncertain global landscape, but it is not the cause of it”.
Henry said small islands would feel the impact of the election. “When the US sneezes, we catch a cold.”
