Investment key to Europe’s digital future, says Commission’s Ansip

Commission vice-president provides update on digital single market project

Europe will not have a digital future if “adequate investment” is not ploughed into advancements such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, the vice-president of the European Commission has said.

Speaking in Brussels on April 10, Andrus Ansip said the European tech sector identifies AI and blockchain as areas in which the continent can play a “leading role”.
