Brazil: Carolina de Assis Barros is set to become the Central Bank of Brazil’s first female deputy governor in almost eight years, subject to presidential approval.
Barros’s name was put forward for the post of deputy governor for administration by governor Ilan Goldfajn, following a reshuffle among the institution’s most senior ranks. She is currently the director of communications.
