Chicago Fed president says central banks should plan for “inevitable” future scenarios now

Central banks should be planning today for “inevitable” future situations, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago said in a speech today (November 14).

Speaking in Frankfurt, Charles Evans evaluated how central banks have adapted their communication protocols in the wake of the financial crisis, but underscored there was still work to be done.
