Philippines central bank appoints new deputy to replace Espenilla

Philippines: The Central Bank of the Philippines has appointed Chuchi Fonacier to the post of deputy governor for supervision and examination.

In a text sent to members of the press, governor Nestor Espenilla – who was recently promoted from deputy governor – said he was “happy” that Fonacier had been chosen as his successor.
