Argentina brings inflation data in line with international standards

The International Monetary Fund has lifted its "declaration of censure" on Argentina, after the country's authorities resolved issues with the calculation of inflation data.

In a statement published on November 9, the fund praised the "extraordinary efforts" made by the new Argentinian administration to "strengthen" national statistics.

"I would like to commend the authorities for their commitment to transparency and determination to improve the accuracy of official data in such a short period,"
