Bank of England governor Mark Carney is to face questions from MPs on his renegotiated term in office when he next appears before the Treasury Committee in two weeks' time.

Carney revealed he had agreed to stay as governor until 2019, in an exchange of letters published on October 31. He had originally taken the role on condition of a five-year term, but said the additional year at the BoE would ensure continuity during the UK's Brexit negotiations.
