Kuroda says BoJ will not reduce easing, but helicopter money is not on its way
Governor offers clues on the central bank’s “comprehensive assessment”
The Bank of Japan (BoJ) will not hesitate to increase the scale of monetary easing if necessary, governor Haruhiko Kuroda reassured investors today (September 5).
Kuroda used a speech to shed light on the BoJ's "comprehensive assessment" of monetary policy, which he launched at the last policy meeting.
The assessment is designed to gauge the possible side-effects of policy and determine how to bring the economy to its 2% inflation target as soon as possible. The original announcement triggered
