Bank of Zambia expects ‘sharp decline’ in inflation
Monetary policy stance having “desired” results, MPC says
Bank of Zambia policy-makers welcomed a "significant" improvement in the inflation outlook compared with their February forecasts, minutes from the monetary policy committee's meeting last week reveal.
"Annual inflation is expected to decelerate in the remaining quarters of 2016, with a sharp decline in the fourth quarter of 2016 toward single-digit levels," the minutes, published May 17, say.
