Sama gets new governor in Saudi reshuffle

Deputy with long experience at central bank and IMF takes over top post

Saudi Arabia's King Salman appointed Ahmed Abdulkarim Alkholifey as the new governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (Sama) on May 7, amid a government reshuffle.

Alkholifey had been deputy governor for research and international affairs, a post he took up after returning from a stint as Saudi Arabia's executive director at the International Monetary Fund in 2013.
