Eurozone not at zero lower bound, Praet says
Markets react to remarks by ECB chief economist
Eurozone interest rates are not yet at the zero lower bound and could be lowered further, the chief economist of the European Central Bank (ECB) has said.
"As other central banks have demonstrated, we have not reached the physical lower bound", Peter Praet told writers from the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, in an interview published in English on the ECB's website.
