UK authority calls on banks to help tackle cyber crime
National Crime Agency says bank innovation key to mitigating fraud
The UK National Crime Agency has called on banks to help tackle cyber crime by building security features into new products, educating end-users and working closer with authorities.
"It needs to be a partnership between us and you. Asking how, collectively, can we raise the cost and risk to those criminals," said Jamie Saunders, director of the agency's cyber crime unit, speaking on a panel at a British Bankers' Association conference in London on November 5.
