Cash payments still declining, Norges Bank report finds
Norwegians are making more and smaller payments using cards
Norwegians are increasingly using debit cards instead of cash, according to a report on retail payments published on June 9 by Norges Bank.
Cash use has fallen every year since 2007, Norges Bank said, with the value of ATM withdrawals in 2014 down 11% on the previous year. Norwegians made an average of just 11 ATM withdrawals over the year, compared with 45 in the UK.
