FSB peer review: home-host divide still looming large
Report flags 'significant tensions' between some supervisors
More work is needed to encourage effective cooperation between jurisdictions supervising global banks, as "significant tensions" can still arise, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) warned today (May 26).
A peer review team organised by the FSB to examine jurisdictions' supervisory frameworks for systemically important banks found "significant steps" have been taken, but identified several areas that could be improved.
