Bank of Portugal initiated administrative proceedings against 25 banks in 2014

The Bank of Portugal initiated 64 administrative offence proceedings against 25 institutions in 2014, according to its annual report on supervision, released April 28.

The proceedings initiated last year were the consequence of 172 complaints by customers and the "inspection activities conducted by the Bank of Portugal after analysing the complaints", notes the central bank in the report.
