Cyprus central bank governor sees confidence returning
Chrystalla Georghadji welcomes ‘historically large investments’
Central Bank of Cyprus governor Chrystalla Georghadji today pointed to the "high level of foreign investment injected" into the country's banking sector as a sign of its recovery.
Speaking at the 2015 Cyprus Investors Summit, Georghadji insisted these capital injections "constitute some of the largest foreign investments... in the history of our economy".
This, she said, illustrates how the confidence of the international community is returning to the country's banking sector.
