Riksbank deputy assesses changing payments market
Cecilia Skingsley also addresses central bank's ‘changeover' of banknotes and coins starting next year
Almost one in four Swedish households use a mobile payment service, said Riksbank deputy governor Cecilia Skingsley today in speech.
Skingsley told an audience at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm that mobile money still poses many challenges. For instance, she said, the capacity of the mobile network is not always sufficient to manage temporary peaks.
