‘All pieces are in place' for co-ordinated regulation of European ABS, says Mersch
Continued un-coordinated regulation of the ABS market is unnecessary says ECB board member
The various agencies in charge of regulating asset-backed securities (ABS) in the European Union (EU) are in a good position to co-ordinate their regulation of the asset class – in contrast to what is happening now, according to Yves Mersch, executive board member of the European Central Bank (ECB).
