Central African central bank needs liquidity management overhaul, IMF says
Region must also tackle poor access to financial services
The Central African Monetary and Economic Community (CEMAC) needs to address access to financial services in the region, which is among the lowest in Africa, the IMF said today, calling on the regional central bank and other authorities to improve bank regulation and supervision and promote the development of the interbank money market.
